The Deckle Edge
The Deckle Edge is actually quite impressive with their variety. For my needs which are Laser Engraving and Tie-dye, they have the basics for the latter but surprisingly a good selection of boards for the former.
I am particularly interested in the chipboards and even the foamboard for my laser engraving projects.
Their dye is mainly the Dala or Rit brand and since Rit in my opinion is an absolute waste of money I don't mind testing the Dala fabric dye for tie-dye.
SA Argus
SA Argus at first made me feel like they are rather pricey but as with any place you have to find a of the gems. I think their MDF and Acrylic options are great value for money. They also have Mylar which I have not seen on other supplier sites and is definitely something I want to get to create stencils for a myriad of things.
Laser Wood
Laser Wood is a simple one, they have about 20 options in their store and seem to be priced well. The variety does not come from the types of wood either.
Simply put you have the option between Butterwood Sheets or MDF Sheets, the 20 options come from the different thicknesses. It could not be more simple.
Personally I don't think their MDF sheet colour is appealing since it is quite dark so more appropriate for cutting than engraving.
Perfect Laser
This is mainly an industrial supplies shop. They have industrial laser CO2 engravers and no diode laser options. They do seem to stock some options for small businesses which seem almost random. Two categories worth looking at are their Vinyl Cutters and Heat Press options.
Related to crafts their heat presses are priced well enough to consider a price comparison whenever a person is hunting for options.
Aside from that although their sublimation blanks may have some unique items it is hardly extensive or priced competitively. Similarly their laser engraving consumables are lacklustre at best.
It should be noted that actually calling them might give better results if you need to know what they do stock. Their website is not at all up to date, and they do sell via Takealot which means they are not displaying all MDF options for example.
